  • Cathedral

The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ is the main place of Catholic worship in the city of Ravenna, the bishop's seat of the Archdiocese of Ravenna-Cervia.

The current building is the result of a radical intervention in the eighteenth century, consisting of the demolition of the ancient cathedral, the Ursian basilica, and the construction of a new one in baroque style.

The cathedral, raised to the rank of minor basilica by Pope John XXIII, is the seat of the parish of S. Giovanni in Fonte belonging to the Urban Vicariate of the Archdiocese of Ravenna-Cervia.
